Meet the Kiwi people who run and own Brunnerton Lodge Rachel, John, Brian, Gerard, Elizabeth, and Anna, who love this place. You will likely meet their children, Kari, Oliver, Alex, also Arlo the dog, and the chickens, yet still enjoy your own comfortable privacy and peace, in a spacious double/twin room.
September 2019 will see the opening of the Paparoa Great Walk from adjacent Blackball to Punakaiki. At Brunnerton Lodge we offer great value accommodation, car storage, and shuttle van services to all 3 entry and exit points of the Walk. The Lodge operates out of an historic old miner’s pub (formerly the Bucks Head Tavern) which has recently been converted to an accommodation-only business.
The old pub was the last of those that serviced the miners working in many of the coal mines in the vicinity, back when Taylorville was part of the thriving township called Brunnerton.
Brunnerton Lodge is home to West Coast Encounters – a leading West Coast tour company. We will provide you with both tours of the region, and shuttles and transfers on the Paparoa Great Walk.
